Inaintha Kaigal

This heroic fanfare (Background Score – 75) is from Inaintha Kaigal. Composer – Gyan Varma. Associate Composer – Aabaavaanan. It is heard for the first time in one of the most crucial moment of the film, just before the interval, when Arun Pandian saves Ramki out of a fatal accident. And as the title of the film implies, two heroes join hands. You better watch the video. Words cannot express the awesomeness of that moment.

Thanks for sharing this clip! Aabavaanan films were an integral part of my growing up (though I can't recall story specifics now, many of the songs and scenes do come back to haunt, in a good way, when someone bring up a movie reference like this. E.g. the song Andhi Nera Thendral Kaatru that was playing everywhere post my X std exams...in teashops, railway stations in Madras, Coimbatore...or to go back in time even further, a much younger Arun Pandian playing the mouth organ prelude to Chandrashekar (looking quite good in this movie, btw) singing Nilai maarun ulakil in Oomai Vizhigal -- a movie that scared the shit out of a bunch of us in sixth std...we were actually scared to use the secluded bathroom on school campus for weeks after watching this film, lol).

It is not Gyan Varma and it is Manoj Gyan. Yes of course, it is my childhood favorite score. When I was 4 I used to chant this score. But it happened to be 'inspired' from Jerry Goldsmith's score of 'Breakheart pass'. Check it out on youtube...

@ Suresh

That is his original name. He is also known as Manoj Bhatnagar, who eventually directed 'Endrendrum Kadhal' and 'Good Luck'...

It doesnt matter. SUresh is not writing a wikipedia content here. As far as Inaindha kaigal is concerned, the apt way to mention his name is to mention it as it is in the credits.

Alright Ilavarasan. As you said. But the question here is it is a blatant copy from breakheart pass. But I wonder no one cared about it. So hear for it yourself...

Prasanna Rajan - I heard the Breakheart Pass music. Yes, it is a blatant copy. Sigh! and move on - that is all we can do for the integrity of such composers.

Yes, the music seems straight from that movie. Even some settings of the movie seem inspired by Breakheart Pass - as I could see in the trailer.

All these apart, Aabavanan and team can be credited for bringing in more professionalism towards technical aspects in Tamil movie making.

To answer the other question of the music director's name, Manjo-Gyan is the name of music director Duo Manoj Bhatnagar and Gyan Verma. They worked in most of Aabavanan's movies. In this movie, only Gyan worked and Aabavanan took credits for associate music. Manoj went on to score music and direct movies like 'Endrendrum Kaathal' and 'Good Luck'
